Today, Gerakan president Dr Lim Keng Yaik suggested to PM Abdullah to hold a special assembly to explain the country’s economic policies to Barisan delegates.
Gerakan president Datuk Seri Dr Lim Keng Yaik said the party found that there was a “lot of misconceptions and rumblings” on the ground that the economy was not moving well.
Why is there misconceptions? PM Abdullah is about to give talk at the World Economic Forum in Davos on Tuesday, he must be good. Maybe they don’t understand the Never Ending Story(NEP) rules or Abdullah’s 9MP, which he gave RM23.5 million to his high school? or is it about the USD50 million loan? Or they also want a RM30 million yacht?
“Although we are facing stiff competition from the fast-growing economies of China, Vietnam and India in attracting foreign direct investments, we still have a fair share of investments.
“However, the party has found that the people still perceive that our economy is not doing well. That’s why we want the Government to explain the true situation of our economy to the people at the Barisan special assembly.
Dr Lim, forgot to read newspaper last year? Read this report about 2005 FDI , if Indonesia also can beat us, what do you perceive?
On a side note, I also want to know why the water concession agreement and the audited accounts of Syarikat Bekalan Air Selangor (Syabas) is classified as OSA, what’s so secret about it? Or the government just simply OSA anything that they can’t justify?
Dr Lim said the people would feel the positive effects of the economic growth when the 9th Malaysia Plan was implemented.
He also said that Gerakan supported Abdullah’s handling of the country’s economy.
We heard this many times already, i even heard it during 2007 New year countdown at Bukit Bintang, stop the polishing, i wanna puke.
